I’m Reyi (ray) :]
I am a nineteen-year-old junior @ The University of Southern California, studying Neuroscience. I love the idea that a single person can change the course of history. I want to make a tangible difference in the scientific community—especially related to affective disorders & autism, but I will be proud if I affect any change in the literature at all.
I aspire to become a research scientist as well as a practicing physician (MD/PhD). Human connection helps me to see perspective and purpose of my research, and I hope to lead a balanced life, continuously learning.
I also love to dance (Bharatanatyam). Despite my struggles as a dancer, I have grown spiritually and mentally through my journey as a dancer. I lead a classical Indian dance team at USC.
On my tumblr, you will find those bits that catch my wandering eye, those snippets of my daydreams that yearn for release, those words that I am itching to type out as an escape from a long day. These vignettes can be scientific, personal, romantic, playful, or serious— but they all reflect my passions, muses, and interests.
