screw finals! I watched this while making flashcards for latin. one of my alltime favorite christmas movies. the “landslide” by stevie nicks montage while charlie’s making the snowman always gets me in tears. his emotion when he sees the button with his dad’s band on it, and the harmonica that causes all those emotions to bubble back— anger, betrayal, guilt, remorse. it’s such a classic holiday movie. 

so thankful for my family <3
I don’t know what I would do  without the values you’ve instilled in me, trust that I will do the right thing, and the motivation you’ve always given me to achieve my dreams.

hmmm. this furniture reminds me so much of my family’s timeshare in the berkshires (western massachusetts mountains of the appalachians). 

I equate our first berkshire trip of the year with thanksgiving— our tradition of getting pizza hut on black friday, shopping at the outlets, hiking and breathing the fresh cold air of the mountains & usually the first snow of the year. sledding. 

i missed it a lot last year during thanksgiving, and i’ll miss it again this year. the berkshires timeshare is similar to my family in some ways— it’s always there, I never have time for it, and I am left with this constant need for more time with it.  at least this year, my family will be missing it too by going to india! 

to think— we may have a berkshires-less year! at least as a foursome. the thought almost makes me too weary to bear! :(
