every time i read or reread “Anna and the French Kiss”, it’s feels like this: building of a beautiful monument, strong and living yet fragile. :) SOOO GOOD.

after the whole day of seeing the lourve, walking the champ elysees, starting with gelato, ending with haagen daaz, this view from the arc du triomphe felt triumphant. my parents were so scared! there’s literally nothing but a tiny fence holding you back from this edge. it’s beautiful because of the cacophony below, unfettered by your poring eyes. it’s equivalent to being on a plane, seeing the lives go on below you— only holding that glance as time passes around you.
